Anna Wuensch

Dayton Flyers Add Steady Leader Anna Wuensch

,

We have seen a lot of players come through Team Indiana (TI) over the years, each with their own style, personality, and character. Anna Wuensch, a second-year member of our 16 Elite team, has shown a calmness on the court that is rare and extremely special, which is why we are extremely excited for her and her commitment to the University of Dayton! Even her choice of colleges and the process she went through was methodical and well thought out.

“I set forth 4 criteria in making my college decision,” said Wuensch. “First, and most importantly, I looked for a school with high academic standards.  Second, I looked for a school with a distinguished volleyball program that was supported by the athletic department and school.  Third, I looked for a school that would provide me an opportunity to compete for playing time.  Finally, I looked for a school within a 3 hour drive from home. The University of Dayton met each of these criteria!”

Setting these criteria really helped Anna find the best school for her. Whatever your methods for finding the perfect school, it’s very important to make sure that your college or university hits all of your requirements.

“Establish the most important criteria you are looking for in the recruiting process,” explained Wuensch. “This could include schools that offer programs for intended major, location from home, playing opportunity, player turnover rates, and scholarship opportunities.”

Anna really appreciated the recruiting process and the coaching staff at TI, which helped her every step of the way. Her experiences at TI have really helped her get ready to play at the next level.

“I have been very fortunate to have really good coaches throughout my volleyball career, especially the coaches at Team Indiana,” said Anna.  “From individual training to team development to competitive play, the coaches at Team Indiana have prepared me to play volleyball, both physically and mentally, at the college level.”

The whole #TINation is excited to watch Anna play in college only a few hours away! Congratulations, Anna!
